1. Overview
This page collects, in one place, the choices you have about how SwipeShrink: Photo Cleaner handles data — advertising consent, App Tracking Transparency, and retention or deletion of the limited information the app or its advertising partner touches. It summarizes and links to the fuller detail in our Privacy Policy.
2. Your Photos and Videos
SwipeShrink processes your photos and videos on your device using Apple’s Photos framework. The developer does not operate a server that receives your Photo Library content, and your media is never sent to SwipeShrink’s advertising partner. You control deletion and saving at every step; see the Privacy Policy sections on Photo Deletion and Photo Compression for details.
3. Advertising & Consent
SwipeShrink displays advertising supplied by Google AdMob to help support free access to the app. Google, as the advertising provider, and its measurement partners may process device and advertising identifiers and other advertising-related technical data in connection with ad delivery and measurement.
Where applicable — generally for users in the EEA, UK, and similar regions — SwipeShrink uses Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to determine whether a consent form is required and to collect your consent before any ads are requested. Ads stay gated off until that flow resolves. You can revisit this choice at any time from Settings → Ads Privacy Options inside the app, where that option appears for your region.
4. App Tracking Transparency
Where iOS App Tracking Transparency (“ATT”) applies, SwipeShrink asks for your permission before any identifier associated with your device is used for advertising measurement. Choosing only non-personalized ads does not remove this requirement — Apple requires the ATT prompt for AdMob’s measurement and frequency-capping use of the identifier regardless of personalization settings.
If you deny or have not granted ATT permission, tracking-related identifiers are not used for advertising and the app continues to work normally, with ads gated accordingly. You can review or change this permission at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
5. Retention & Deletion
SwipeShrink does not hold a developer-side copy of your photos or videos, so there is nothing for the developer to retain or delete on that front — retention and deletion of your media stays with you and Apple’s Photos app. The app keeps a small amount of local, on-device data (such as your settings and in-progress selection state) that is never transmitted to the developer and is removed if you delete the app. Support correspondence is kept only as long as reasonably necessary and can be deleted on request. The full explanation, including how to request deletion of support correspondence, is in the Privacy Policy’s Data Retention, Deletion, and Your Choices section.
6. In-App Controls
Two Settings rows in the app put these choices directly in your hands:
- Data Retention & Choices — the in-app summary of what is kept, for how long, and how to request deletion of support correspondence.
- Ads Privacy Options — reopens Google’s consent form to review or change your advertising consent, where that option applies to your region.
ATT tracking permission is managed through iOS itself, in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, not inside the app.
